Project Summary
The VR4Skills project aims to develop innovative training tools for advancing the individual competencies of higher education staff engaged in internationalization processes. The target group of the project consists of experienced administrative employees. The acquired competencies are intended to effectively support the international and intercultural context of higher education institutions, thereby contributing to the creation of an inclusive and interconnected academic environment.
The project focuses on the sustainable development of international competencies among administrative staff at European universities. The training process will be supported by the use of VR technology and will address new aspects of the functioning of higher education institutions in the post-COVID era. To achieve this in the project activities are directed to: conduct a competency gap analysis, development of training program, educational materials, and VR scenarios.
Main Results of the VR4Skills Project:
- Report on Needs Analysis: a detailed analysis of the competency development needs of administrative staff.
- Innovative Training Design: development of training content, VR training scenarios, and an example implementation of one scenario in a VR environment.
- Comprehensive Guidelines: guidelines for the effective and efficient use of VR technology and the creation of VR learning environments.
VR4Skills unlocks tomorrow's education
By implementing this project, VR4Skills partnership aims to achieve multi-level transformation at individual, institutional and sectoral dimensions, leading to improvements and new approaches in higher education institutions. Better skilled nonteaching staff will enrich and support in a more effective way the international and intercultural context of each institution,curriculum, students and lecturers, and thus contribute to building an inclusive and inter-connected academic environment.
